Terms of Service
Last updated: March 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using FillKit ("the Service"), including the website at fillkit.dev, browser extensions, and SDK, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, you may not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
FillKit is a form autofill toolkit designed exclusively for software development, QA testing, and demo environments. All data generated by FillKit is fake — realistic and context-aware, but entirely synthetic. FillKit is not designed, intended, or licensed for filling real forms with real personal information. The Service includes: (a) an open-source JavaScript SDK (@fillkit/core and @fillkit/browser); (b) open-source browser extensions for Chrome and Firefox; (c) the fillkit.dev website; (d) FillKit Cloud (paid), a managed API providing curated datasets, team features, and enhanced field detection. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time without prior notice.
3. Intended Use and Restrictions
FillKit is intended solely for: (a) development — populating forms with test data during software development; (b) QA testing — automated and manual testing with realistic synthetic data; (c) demos — showcasing applications with realistic-looking but fake data. You expressly agree not to use FillKit to: (a) fill real forms with fake data to deceive, defraud, or impersonate; (b) submit synthetic data to government, financial, healthcare, or legal systems as if it were real; (c) facilitate identity fraud, phishing, or social engineering; (d) circumvent anti-bot protections, CAPTCHAs, or rate limits on production systems. Violation of these restrictions may result in immediate termination of your account and access.
4. User Accounts
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials, including API tokens (fk_live_*, fk_test_*), and for all activities that occur under your account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use. API tokens should never be committed to public repositories or shared publicly.
5. Browser Extensions
The FillKit browser extensions request broad host permissions (all URLs) to detect and autofill forms on any page during development or testing. The extensions operate locally by default and do not transmit page content or form data to our servers. A future version may support optional Cloud connectivity, which will require explicit opt-in. By installing the extension, you acknowledge that it runs on all web pages you visit and modifies form field values with synthetic data.
6. Open Source Components
The FillKit SDK and browser extensions are open source. Open-source components are provided under their respective licenses (see each repository for details). The FillKit Cloud service, including its API, dashboard, and server-side infrastructure, is proprietary and subject to these Terms. Open-source licensing does not grant rights to use the FillKit name, trademarks, or branding.
7. FillKit Cloud
FillKit Cloud is a paid service providing curated datasets, team management, and enhanced field detection via API. Cloud features require a registered account and valid API token. Usage is subject to the plan limits associated with your subscription. We reserve the right to throttle or suspend access for excessive or abusive usage.
8. Intellectual Property
The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by ClavisCore LLC and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. Open-source components are licensed separately; all other rights are reserved.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
FillKit generates synthetic data that may resemble real information (names, addresses, phone numbers, emails) but is entirely fake. ClavisCore LLC makes no representations that generated data is unique, non-colliding, or suitable for any purpose beyond development and testing. The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
10. Privacy
Your use of the Service is governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights. Please review our Privacy Policy to understand our practices.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, ClavisCore LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of the Service, including but not limited to damages arising from the use of generated synthetic data in unintended contexts.
12. Termination
We may terminate or suspend your access to the Service immediately, without prior notice, for any reason, including breach of these Terms or misuse of the Service for purposes outside its intended scope (development, QA, demos).
13. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. We will provide notice of significant changes by updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.
14. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Wyoming, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
